The planning of your wedding reception is our priority and our privilege.

1.) How many years of experience has the barn had with wedding ceremonies and receptions?
We have over 30 years of experience in planning and executing wedding ceremonies and receptions.
2.) What is the maximum number of receptions occurring at once?
Two receptions can occur at one time but "arrival" times are staggered by at least ½ hour.
3.) How long do receptions last and what are the start and conclusion times?
Lunch Receptions can begin as early as 11am and must conclude by 4pm.
Dinner Receptions can begin as early as 5pm and rooms are available for a six (6) hour duration.
4.) Can we extend the bar service after a six hour period?
Yes, however, the cost is $6 per person based on the final guest count regardless if everyone is still in attendance.
5.) Is there a room charge for wedding receptions?
No. Room deposits are applied to the final bill also.
6.) Does the barn have ceremony sites available?
We have several sites available which are determined by the number of guests attending. Please inquire
with the Banquet and Catering Department for further details and pricing.
7.) What are the room deposits and minimum guest counts for the reception rooms?
Room deposits and room minimums vary depending on the day of the week and the chosen reception room.
Please contact the Banquet and Catering Department for appropriate pricing.
8.) Can we choose two or three different entrees for our guests?
We strongly encourage clients to choose one entrée for everyone as this is the most efficient choice,
however, clients can choose multiple entrees for an additional charge per person and
limited vegetable and potato selection. Please consult with a Wedding
Coordinator to discuss menu options and pricing details.
9.) Can clients provide food from an outside caterer?
Unfortunately no; the Barn has a strict policy based on the Illinois State Health Code. However, the Barn
can order and/or prepare any special dietary meals based on necessity. Furthermore; wedding cakes from outside
bakeries are allowed but must be delivered by a licensed bakery supplying a valid invoice. Please note that a
custom wedding cake is included in the wedding package and there is no deduction in package price
for those choosing an outside bakery.
10.) Does the barn offer taste tests for the bride and groom?
We do offer two complimentary entrees for the bride and groom. Additional meals can be purchased for $15 each.
Taste tests are offered on Wednesday or Thursday evenings and we do require a two week notice upon scheduling.
11.) What types of decorations are included in the wedding package?
We provide fresh flowers for the guest tables, candelabras for the head table, candlesticks for the guest tables, crisp,
white table linens, white skirting for head, place card and cake table. Please contact one of our Wedding Coordinators
for additional wedding decoration that is offered.
12.) What is the reservation policy?
Reception rooms are booked upon receipt of room deposit but we can "hold" rooms on a temporary
basis for interested parties for five (5) days at a time.
13.) What is the cancellation policy?
The room deposits are non-refundable.
14.) What is the payment schedule?
The first deposit, a fixed amount, reserves the room for you. The second deposit, approximately
70% of the final bill, is due two weeks prior to the wedding reception date. The final payment is
due three days prior to the wedding reception date.
15.) When is the final guest count due?
Final guest counts are due to the Banquet and Catering Department one week prior to the reception
date. Please note that once the final guest count is placed, the Barn cannot deduct anything financially
should guests cancel at the last moment.
16.) What types of credit cards do you accept?
Visa, MasterCard, Discover/Novus, American Express, Diner's Club.
